Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
OUR CHARDONNAY HAS A BRIGHT, GOLDEN COLOR WITH AROMAS OF BUTTER, VANILLA AND A HINT OF TOASTED OAK. IT'S A MEDIUM BODIED WINE WITH NICE CRISP ACIDITY AND FLAVORS OF RIPE APRICOT, PINEAPPLE AND CITRUS THAT LEAD INTO A MEDIUM LONG FINISH.
Vineyard Notes
83% SONOMA COUNTY I 3. 5% MONTEREY COUNTY 3. 5% SANTA BARBARA COUNTY SONOMA COUNTY - RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY THE AREA GENERALLY LIES BETWEEN SEBASTOPOL AND SANTA ROSA IN THE SOUTH, AND FORESTVILLE AND HEALDSBURG IN THE NORTH. THE RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY HAS A CHARACTERISTICALLY COOL CLIMATE, HEAVILY AFFECTED BY FOG GENERATED BY THE VALLEY'S PROXIMITY TO THE PACIFIC OCEAN. THE AREA IS KNOWN FOR ITS SUCCESS WITH COOL CLIMATE VARIETALS, NOTABLY PINOT NOIR AND CHARDONNAY. MONTEREY COUNTY - SOLEDAD COOLED BY THE INFLUENCE OF MONTEREY BAY, THE GROWING SEASON TYPICALLY LAST TWO WEEKS LATER THAN OTHER REGIONS ALLOWING FOR SLOW FRUIT MATURATION WHILE STEEP SLOPES AND ROLLING HILLS PROVIDE GOOD DRAINAGE. SANTA BARBARA COUNTY - Los ALAMOS Los ALAMOS VALLEY LIES BETWEEN SANTA MARIA VALLEY AND SANTA YNEZ VALLEY. WITH WARM DAYS AND VERY COLD NIGHTS, THE FRUIT FROM THIS REGION ACHIEVES INCREDIBLE CONCENTRATION AND BALANCE. ITS SLIGHT, WELL DRAINED SOILS AND A WIDE RANGE OF MICROCLIMATES ALLOWS FOR A DIVERSITY OF VARIETALS.
